Clay Pipe

Clay pipe pieces, found in the pithouses near Qithyil, were probably traded from the British at Fort Langley or other trading posts on the Fraser River. These pipes would have been used along with or in place of traditional stone pipes, which had no bowls. The leaves of the plant kinnikinnick were smoked by Stó:lō.
