Scraper

Scrapers are stone tools used to scrape animal and plant materials. This includes hides bones, wood, bark, and roots that were used to make into clothing, tools, baskets, and other useful items. Sq’éwlets women used sharp scrapers to remove the hair and fat from fresh animal hides (skins), then tanned them into leather. The leather was sewn into warm, durable clothing.
